Water pollution of Ganga River is a national problem of India. Government of India has made a serious effort in control of pollution of Ganga river by implementing National Mission for Clean Ganga or Namami Gange Mission. Under Namami Gange Mission, different works are being undertaken to reduce water pollution load to river Ganga. Some of these works have given desired result. But, the problem is so enormous that it is very difficult to be fully successful in cleaning river Ganga. The author high lights about what more can be done by the Government.
