Abstract

The knowledge discovery process is iterative and collaborative, containing of nine steps. Note that the process is iterative at each step, implication that moving back to regulate previous steps may be requisite. The process has many “artistic” features in the sense that one cannot present one formula or make a whole taxonomy for the correct selections for each step and application type. Thus it is required to intensely understand the process and the different needs and possibilities in each step. Taxonomy for the Data Mining methods is facilitating in this process.
