Abstract

In existing work we use step wise process of combustion synthesis for Sr2B2O5:Tb3+ green emitting phosphors to create W-LED emission. The rare earth ions used as dopant efficiently shows effectiveness of luminescence in borate. XRD, SEM, CIE coordinate, and emission intensity effect related to the significant concentration of dopants in both rare earth ions were studied. And for the corresponding excitation at 353nm in case of Tb3+ phosphor show emission at 545 nm. The CIE coordinates of Tb3+, the present research indicates that the Sr2B2O5:Tb3+ phosphor as a green constituent for W-LED is an acceptable material.
