Abstract
Artificial Neural Networks in Decision Support Systems‟ of the book „Handbook on Decision Support Systems 1: Basic Themes‟ written by Delen and Sharda, authors have introduced the basic concepts of neural networks and have presented an overview of the possible applications of neural networks based decision support systems (DSS). According to authors, ANNs can be viewed as supporting at least two different types of decision support systems: data driven and model-driven systems.
