ANALYZING SOCIAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONSIDERATION IN ANNUAL REPORT OF HIGHEST NET-PROFIT COMPANIES OF INDIA

Abstract

With growing inclinations of environmental and social concern among stakeholder, and global problems of climate change, poverty, human rights violations and legal compliances have entailed corporate to pay attention towards social and environmental issues. Company’s responsibility towards environment and social are reflected in their annual report. In this context, Annual report became extraordinary because of great enslavement of decision maker for investment, compliance and customer. This study analyzed annual report and find key term related to environment and social performance based on content analysis method for highest net-profit companies of India. Result showed that most of companies had given partial and disorganized information on environment and social issue. However, many companies gave detail in their sustainability/Responsibility/Environmental report. Finding of this study suggest that companies should
